Are these legal? There always on either state property or right outside another business. They're all over and driving me crazy.

Street meat. For when you really want to spend the rest of the day on the shitter.TM

The function of conservatives is not to meet every liberal program or scheme with a denunciation or a destructive counterscheme, but rather to weigh its advantages and defects, supporting the first and challenging the second. A declaration of ideological warfare against liberalism is by its nature profoundly unconservative. It meets perceived radicalism with a counterradicalism of its own.

Mobile food is great but is heavily regulated so it is hard to make it profitable, so many places outside of the usa have great street food, although the sanitation isn't always great but thats how the poor can afford to eat a meal that they didn't have to cook--support mobile food when ever you can!!

the problem with these trucks is that there all central american trucks (dirty). Ive been to california and have had REAL tacos out of REAL TACO trucks that take pride in what they sell, prime example go to the taco truck in the parking lot of home depot in annandale, you wont even have to sample the food five feet from the truck is close enough to make you gag!I go to home depot every day and have NEVER seen a line waiting to order food from there,I dont have to try food from these places I can simply walk up to them and in most cases I turn rite back around!Taco truck check list.#1.No one speaks english
#2.Not a customer in site
#3.No artwork on the truck,
Save yourself from getting sick and walk away!!!!!

Depends on the area. They are extremely popular downtown. I was down there for a meeting and walked by one - the "Red Hook Lobster Pound" truck. The line to order a lobster roll was, literally, wrapped around the corner.

I was driving by Yorktown High(oops... wrong forum) a few weeks ago and saw one parked out front after school was out. A long line of kids waiting in line for something yummy.

To be honest you have to pay attention. There are several out there that are what the Health Dept call "Illegal Food Units" and they make it hard for the ones that take the time to do it right and jump through the hoops of getting a license. Most that have done the right thing and continue to do the right thing have their paperwork displayed. The ones that the HD know about get inspected randomly every 6 months or so. Don't be closed minded and say they are all bad. If you open your eyes you can find some gems.
