RESTON, VA — Firefighters raced to a neighborhood in Reston after a fire broke out in an attached garage Saturday morning, putting out the blaze before it could spread.
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue units were dispatched to 2288 Dosinia Court to a "report of fire from an attached garage," according to the Facebook page Northern Virginia Fire Buffs, which reports on scanner traffic.
A total of 14 fire and medical units responded to the location at 4:31 a.m.
The fire was caused by a hot oil spill after cooking with a propane burner in the garage, according to RestonNow.
The occupants had safely evacuated, although one person had minor injuries.

If you would like to know the proper way to cook practically anything, check out Fire Station Number Three in Fairfax City, Virginia. They have open houses there and you may take you boy or girl Scouts there for a nice tour. You had better bring them cookies as a way to show a smidgen of appreciation. They eat. A lot. Have fun on your tour. When you'll go is totally up to you.
P.S. They are available to come to your house for a free inspection and will install an actual smoke detector wherever they think you need one.
Have fun w/ the detector. It will go off, loudly, when you cook inside and there is too much smoke.
I pay for the services that they provide, so when I hear a siren of any kind I know very well to get our vehicle out of the way quickly so they may attend to their business. I also begin praying rapidly. Could a Fairfax County trained fire person carry you down 23 flights of steps? The answer: yes.

Alot of firemen around here like it when you try to race alongside of them while they're driving with the sirens on. They get a real kick out of it and they appreciate the big show of support you're giving them. you should try it.

To the person who likes to race firetrucks, have fun doing that. The firetruck (highest trained, lowest paid), will beat you to the fire every time. What color is your fire truck. Is it red or yellow?
Does it have hot wheels tires on it w/ the red lines? If yes, then they might be worth a lot of money.
