Archibald Cox was highly respected and no one called for his firing. Unlike Comey, who both dems and cons frequently have called for his firing in the past several months.

Additionally, the evidence against Nixon's wrong doing at the time of the firing was overwhelming. While there is yet to be produced any evidence that Trump did anything wrong - not saying he did or didn't, just that despite the left's rhetoric, nothing concrete yet.

There was certainly no overwhelming evidence of wrong doing by Nixon at the time of the Cox firing. The only evidence was the WH tapes and Cox was fired because he refused the "Stennis" compromise. So his firing was to try to prevent the publication of damning evidence. Which, is EXACTLY what it appears Trump is doing.
