It was very quiet last night. I think the leaves coming out helps block the highway noise.

I was the first one to reach the motorcyclist. His injuries will very much hunt me for a while. I did what I could to comfort him and render aid until EMS arrived. Sure would like to know an update on his condition if anyone has one.

I am sorry to say the rider passed away.

He had Obamacare health insurance, and the hospital said they needed to remove him from life support because his insurance coverage failed to cover the life saving measures - So they unhooked everything, and pushed his body to the hospital morgue.

He did not die. He is very critical. He is being operated on as we speak.

I knew instantly that he'd never need his wallet again. After wiping all the blood off it, I think I've earned the right to keep it.

Information is so easy to find.The motorcycle operator suffered traumatic but non life threatening injuries. He is in stable condition after emergency surgery that was performed last night.

I was driving home (coming up Braddock from Union Mill) must have been shortly after it happened. EMTs and police on the scene and no cars coming down Braddock from Singletons. The Corolla was totaled. I looked for another car, but saw nothing in sight. Later on a friend posted on her FB page about the accident. Her neighbor was a witness and saw the motorcycle driver sail through the air.

My thoughts and prayers are with both families whose lives have been forever changed by this terrible accident. I wish the motorcycle driver a speedy recovery. I am very happy he is (hopefully) on the road to a full recovery. He should consider himself very lucky to have survived.

Now that the weather is warming up, we ALL need to slow down near and in neighborhoods and watch for motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians .... in addition to all other cars on the road.

Share the road responsibility and respectfully.

There really are some ignorant people on this post. That motorcycle you are talking about happen to be my 23 year old nephew that is laying in CCU having surgeries everyday and fighting for his life. I would like to say thank you to everyone on the scene that tried to help him until EMTs could get there. He is alive no brain damage but has more breaks in his body they you could probably count to you ignorant ass fouls. Thank you again to all that helped him. Hey Dude - Sorry he fucked up his bones and all of those other things, but I wanted to know if he is interested in selling some parts off of the wrecked bike is he isn't going to be able to ride or walk again?

I am glad he is doing well. He is a great guy and have known him and his family for years as my son went to school with him. I am so thankful that the EMT's and the citizens of Fairfax County stop to help this young man. I will be praying for him and his family on the long journey to his recovery.
