Oh, but I didn't say I didn't have other investments.
My mortgage rate is so low it's a cake walk to beat it in the market.
I have more money to spend monthly on stocks/funds, etc. than I would throwing it away on rent. My next door neighbors rent at twice my mortgage payment and they have nothing to show for it at the end.
PLUS the mortgage interest is a tax write off giving me more money to invest.
