The Fairfax County Police found two sets of human remains in the Holmes Run Park. Chief Roessler is going to hold a news conference at 11:00 a.m.
The news conference will be at the end of Crater Place in Alexandria.

A local contractor has been hiring illegals and then murdering them at the end of the job to avoid paying them. FCPD got a tip that the bodies were dumped at this location.

The news conference basically rehashed the announcement already made.
Last night they found two bodies about 300 yards into the park, but they're waiting on the ME to make a forensic identification. The search was prompted by a tip, but they're not saying where the tip came from.
Roessler didn't confirm it's MS-13, but it's gang activity.
They don't have suspects, so they're hoping people in the community will come forward with any information that might be helpful. (Accusing a local contractor of murdering his day laborers in lieu of paying them is probably not helpful.)
In addition to Chief Roessler, FBI Special Agent Timothy Slater and Supervisor Penny Gross were in attendance.

WASHINGTON — Authorities in Fairfax County say the human remains discovered in a sprawling suburban park are likely linked to gang activity in Northern Virginia.
The discovery came after a tip to police earlier in the week sparked a two-day search of Holmes Run Park, south of Bailey’s Crossroads in Lincolnia, Virginia.
“I can just assure you that this is gang activity,” said Fairfax County Police Chief Edwin Roessler during a Friday news conference about the discovery of the remains.
The remains were discovered late Thursday night about 300 yards into the park from the intersection of Crater Place and Yellowstone Drive, police said. Roessler said the remains have not yet been identified and are awaiting autopsies by the medical examiner’s office.
Roessler said it’s unclear whether the victims were killed in the park or their remains were dumped there. Roessler said police are still processing the crime scene to rule out the possibility of finding additional remains.
About two years ago, police discovered two bodies in the same park — slayings that were eventually linked to area gangs.
“This problem is horrible,” Roessler said. “This is four murders in this park. Obviously, we’ve had other murders in the region in the past few weeks. This is getting out of control, and we need to stop it.”
Roessler declined to name the gang believed to be linked to the slayings, saying he was “not going to advertise for gangs.”
Experts say the MS-13 gang, which has roots in Los Angeles and Central America, has been responsible for a spike in gang activity in the D.C.-area suburbs over the past few years.
Last month, police discovered the body of 15-year-old Damaris Reyes Rivas, in an industrial park in Springfield, Virginia. A total of 10 people, including six teens, have been charged in her disappearance and death.
Police have said the teen’s killing is also connected to the death of 21-year-old Christian Alexander Sosa Rivas, whose body was found along the shoreline of the Potomac River in Dumfries, Virginia, last month.
Authorities said Friday they don’t have any details about the suspects in the remains found Thursday and asked the public to send tips to police.
“We need information,” Roessler said. “We have murderers out there running around. We need to bring them to justice, so we need more help.”
The police chief also said parents and community members need to be aware of the “red flags” of young people “being sucked into gangs.”
“There needs to be no fear in calling the Fairfax County police and asking for us to intervene with our young people to get them out of gang activity to prevent tragedies,” he said.

apparently OP has learned set notation in college however i assure him that in literary (reporting) language, he's mispoken gravely
a single body is never known as "a set" in colloquial writing unless you took english as a 2nd language or mis-understood some science class as defining words in the english language - with they don't, or unless "everyone knows the bodies were found in multiple pieces strewn about" - and still it would be poor writing to leave that assumed. an english teacher's favorite phrase is "assuming makes an ass out of you and me, never use the words IT (or WE when we implies everyone is on your bandwagon - unless it is infact a commercial you are writing)"

I have family that lives VERY close to where the bodys were found (a stones throw). From what I have read in the news and seen with my own eyes driving through this area for I don't know the last 15 years....I can tell you there is a massive latino population just south/west and northwest of Baileys Crossroads in the form of 'barrios' slum apartments where god knows what goes on. Where there is smoke there is fire right. Latinos and MS-13 = related. It's no secret. The police chief of the investigation already stated he is "sure" this is gang related. Who else?

They need to use the RICO statutes and start seizure of all the assets of any person/group/doing/assisting and/or enabling any person doing gang activity from the start. If they have received citizenship or have been issued a green card, then these need to be revolked and the persons punished according to their crimes (including automatic death penalty for murders) then remove their citizenship or work status permanently before sending them back to their home country and to be placed on a "do not allow entry again" list.
