Sheena Parveen is a News4 meteorologist who forecasts the weather for News4 Today, WTOP Radio, and the NBC4 digital properties including NBCWashington.com.
While she has been part of the NBC family since 2012, Parveen joined NBC4 in January 2017. She moved to Washington from Philadelphia where she worked at WCAU since 2012. That’s the same station Chief Meteorologist Doug Kammerer worked for when he first arrived in Philadelphia many years ago.
Before Philadelphia, Parveen worked at WCTV in Tallahassee and at WTVT in her hometown of Tampa. While working in Florida, Parveen began regular segments focusing on pets, which she has continued at other stations. She has a true affinity for pets and dedicates time to helping them find adopted homes.
Parveen is a certified broadcast meteorologist who received her CBM seal from the American Meteorological Society. Her degree in meteorology comes from Florida State University where she was involved in FSU Weather, the school’s live weather show.
In addition to charity work with animals, Parveen enjoys paddle boarding, fishing, painting, golfing and beach time.
She lives in Northern Virginia.
