Clifton/Fairfax Station area, be on the look out
Date: December 10, 2016 05:49PM

The other night my mother pulled into our driveway and noticed a Mustang convertible sitting in our "parking spot" which is tucked away. I found this peculiar because it's fairly difficult to see where this spot is located unless you've frequented the property before. They had their lights off, so she originally thought I was on a date and he arrived to pick me up and I hadn't let her know. As she approached the vehicle (questionable move - I told her that was dangerous) she noticed there were two bulky men with hoods on and one appeared intoxicated. They told her they had the "wrong house" and sat there until she pulled into the garage. We have security (cameras, motion sensors) and firearms inside our home, but never in a million years did I ever foresee this happening. My grandpa who lives up the street (built his home himself, has lived in Clifton for 20+ years) has never encountered a problem. My mom got the tags of the car but we're still feeling a bit alarmed from it all. We did contact the police as well. It's possible they were lost, but given our area is 90% retired and I've never seen the car, I have doubts...

TLDR; Please be safe and extra cautious this time of year. Happy holidays everyone.

Yea secluded houses are attractive to burglars. Some thugs came down from NJ a few years ago and burglarized my neighbor's house. They chose the house at the end of the cul-de-sac farthest out of view.

Your mom needs to start carrying a .357. Next time she sees this kind of shit, ventilate the mofos.
