The Legacy of Patty Reed and Ted Velkoff

Patty Reed and Ted Velkoff fought to get taxation authority for the schools. Both were voted off of the school board. The school board tried again via the meals tax and it went down in flames.

So this is the legacy of Reed and Velkoff-failure. The resounding "NO" vote on the meals tax is also a vote of no confidence for FCPS.

I am one of the 55-60% of Fairfax voters who have no children in FCPS.

Want my vote? Show some accountability first.

I have children in the system and I'm demanding accountability too!

This transgender mess and FLE? All done very underhandedly. Now they want to rename schools? I get that it's politically correct but right now? For what price? No. Just NO.

All above board and transparent and maybe we won't hit a downward spiral. I have to see things going better before I give another dime.

FCPS is up the creek without that meals tax money.

They are going to have to make cuts and they are going to have to be more transparent. Otherwise just about all school board members will be voted off and there will be continued resistance from the Supervisors for more funding.
