You're going to have to do a better job spamming your business than that...

Only a spamming newb puts their email address when posting.

"big fan of anything with carbs"

really? Who says that?

and next time wait longer than 10 minutes before plugging your spam

Family owned, Fairfax Towne Center, pizza and pasta, counter serve, but real plates and silverware or can get carryout, very good food and service, gone there many times, user ratings 4 to 4.5 out of 5. At peak times, may be a little difficult to find a table.

Same owner and place?? Did not know about that one, Thanks. Only out that way once in a Blue Moon.

Then there was the Place in Old Town Alex, Down by Charthouse in the now defunct Food Court that was called Radio Free Italy..And they had a Pizza Pasta and Salad lunch buffet..and It was GREAT! I looked and looked for how to make the pasta sauce.. I could find nothing..Thats because its so simple.. butter, cream, parmesan cheese..WOW..Thats way to simple.. !! And some days they would add dry Roasted tomatoes..or Pesto.. I am a SUCKER for that simple type Pasta!! Glad I know how to make It Today!!

Place in Fairfax City on Rt 50.. Cant remember the name.today.used to be Red Barn years ago near the Burger King Camp Washington.. They have some good Pesto Pasta with a slice of white cheese "pizza bread" that's good 9.95 , with chicken more. Ice Water Big Glass..Free

If you like fried fish, try ABC Canteen just north of the circle on 29 where Arthur Treacher's used to be:

the owner started becoming extremely angry and pulled aside one of the guys there that worked and gave him a punishing kick to the midsection. right in front of the people who were eating.

It's in the Pan Am Shopping center. Family owned and operated. I've been going there for about 30 years. They have the freshest salad bar around! It's authentic homemade Greek food. They have something for everyone, a really diverse menu. They have awesome desserts as well. Fresh food, great service and a back room for larger groups. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

If I ever hit the lottery jackpot I'm going to buy the place and double everyone's wages and let them keep running it!

One reason I liked that was not so much the fish, it was a breaded frozen piece that was good, with fries, but they had a salad bar that went with it and that was some what unusual at lower priced places in the 70's .All in all it was about 4 dollars with a drink.. a now and then for me. 5 dollars for lunch was a lot then. More then a Steak and Cheese sub . I think lots of people today consider a 10 dollar lunch to be fine. before I retired I was paying 5-6 . Today I'm a Cheapster !! LOL

DAJAX Now and then Ill Splurge..For Joes! or Angelicos..Mama Lucia, Franconia Pizza, The Deli McLean Elm St, Primos , No more old Country Buffet.Sad Face...and of Course to see Joe and Lefty..at Arlingtons Wilson Blvd..Marios Pizza for a couple slices or a Leftys Special Steak Cheese sub!! Hey Tippys Tacos are good now and then..A Couple Hot Dogs and a Beer at Vienna Inn!!

Real turkey gravy is always brown. That's why they keep the neck and gizzards inside a frozen turkey. Sautee the shit out of that and make some gravy.

You're supposed to boil those, use the broth to make the gravy, and then add aome the minced up neck and liver bits for a final dash of flavor.

Defrost the turkey in the the refrigerator, never on the counter, put it in the sink with cold water for a couple hours then back to the refer..It takes a good 3 days to defrost a 14-18 pound turkey 4 days for a bigger one.Wash it up, put the neck and giblets in a pan of water to simmer, Dry the turkey, rub it with olive oil and put a carrot and stalk of celery and a onion inside it.Salt it a little bit and pepper it too on the breast and drumsticks and wings, Then slap it in a 325 degree oven with a few cups of water in the baking pan cover the breast with aluminum foil for the first 3 hours roast at 325 20 minutes per pound till the drumstick joint is not red and bloody but done about 4 3/4 hours for a 14 pound turkey. You will have to see where 325 is on your oven, the Wash Gas Co used to offer a oven calibration where they would tell you with their professional thermometer what the oven is at when you set it at say 350 F....They may still do this if your cooking with gas..Cook the turkey at 325 F So the drippings don't burn, Remove the turkey, let it sit 5 minutes then start making the gravy, let any drippings that come out of the turkey go into the roasting pan as you pull it out. In the roasting pan skim out some fat ,pour a cup of water in roasting pan, heat on stove scraping all the bits up, pour it in a big cast iron skillet, add some flour and water mixed together, stir it in, add some low fat low salt chicken broth and turkey neck broth as the Post above describes. Taste that it has lots of flavor but don't dilute it too much, cook it slowly till it starts to thicken, add a bit of milk if you want not too much.. and finally strain it out let it sit a bit skim off any excess fat that rises heat it up and pour it into the turkey gravy bowl.It takes about 15 minutes time for the turkey to be ready to carve..This Pic is a nice Gravy Bowl from Goodwill..For the young ones and old ones you know..! 3.99 A Bargain!!

Yeah but it's better to brown them up in a pan real good first before making that broth. I skip the liver though, not a fan of the flavor it imparts.

First Rule: There are lots of nice places to eat in Vienna. There aren't any at all in Falls Church City. That place is just a desolate low-income wasteland.

^^^ Seriously. Falls Church is like a dead-zone for dining. Arlington has lots of good places, Tysons has lots, Vienna has lots, Merrifield has lots. Falls Church has nothing.
