2016 Fairfax County Poll Experiences
Posted by: Fairfax County Poll Experiences ()

Arrived early at 5:45, school was open for lines and we were 130 back.

Things went pretty quickly, they now scan driver's license instead of paging through the books they used to have. I was out before 6:30.

Only confusing part was folks are supposed to go to tables to fill ballots before getting in line to scan, should have some signage up because some waited 10 minutes through scan line with a ballot form and didn't fill ballots. Some different placement of scan units may have helped but I appreciate all the time from the folks working the polling stations.

Arrived 6:45, found parking within 2 minutes. Around 120+ in line. No obvert hassle by the advocates. Process was efficient. Workers were friendly and well informed. Out by 7:10. Even got an extra sticker for my collection.

Easy peasy.

We had three scanners at the end of the process. Someone in front of me put the form into a slot way below the actual scanner feed. I think she went around the officials showing people how to insert the dorm. They had to call another official to somehow get the form out of the machine to feed it through properly. Did not stick around to see how.

That fake slot/seam really should be covered, and the actual scan slot should be designed like the coin catchers on the toll road. No chance for human error.

Overall the process was very fast.

The first two places I voted were great
At the third stop the lines were so long I had to sneak in the back door
I'll let you know if the other spots are better

Over a hundred people in line around 7 this morning. I walked in, turned around and screamed "Vote NO on the Meals Tax!!" at the top of my lungs, and the whole place erupted in cheers, people were really getting into it. "Make Fairfax Great Again", someone shouted.

And when you opened your eyes you were still in your parent's basement with your pathetic little dick in your hand.

Shame on you.

No lines at all other than a 10 second wait to have ID scanned.

I won't bore you with all my choices but I will tell you that I voted NO to the "Meals Tax" referendum.

No one in line, no scanner problems.

In & out in 6 - 7 minutes.

Easy-peasy.

Got there at 10, was kindly greeted by Republican woman who offered a sample ballot, I thanked her for her work, but declined because I did my homework and already planned to vote for Trump.

No line inside, photo ID scanned quick and easy, made the whole process faster and ensured integrity in the process.

Voted, and was out in less than 5 minutes.

Also voted no on the meals tax, and for Comstock.

I've been to six so far. I'm using the green list of "good places" to rig the system that Trump supplied.

Are you using the green Trump list or red Trump list?

We still get free booze and a prostitute after this right?

Walked 1.5 miles to my precinct. Some idiot in a rice car passed another vehicle in the middle of a turn driving about 30 mph over the speed limit in a residential neighborhood. Then 5 minutes later another moron nearly ran me down while I was in the middle of the crosswalk. Also going about 10-15 mph over the speed limit.

I arrived about 7:00 and the line already stretched across the school and around the corner. At least 150, probably 200 people waiting.

But the line moved constantly, and I was done shortly after 8 am.

Funny part was the election officials telling all the people with Trump shirts and hats that they needed to cover up before entering. There were a lot of them.

FC City, not County.

Arrived at 1050. Took 63 minutes. Probably worse than 2008. Certainly worse than 2012. Dems in the City very well organized. You see the Hillary signs on every street. No one handing out Republican sample ballots. Clinton probably will receive over 70% of the City vote.

A friend just voted in the County at Graham Road Elementary. No line. No Republican ballots there either.

I chose not to vote today- so whatever happens you can't blame on me!!!

Not like my one vote will change the electoral college anyway. That and paid-off politicians already in the house/senate.

If i get rich one day- I will vote because I can put my money behind it.

As a standard citizen- voting is just an illusion of choice.

Not voting is the same as voting for Hillary, especially if you're in Va.

Arrived a little after noon at the Elks Lodge, probably 100 people in line in front of me. One of the poll workers who'S a neighbor said the morning rush was the biggest he'd seen...said there are 2700 registered voters in the precinct and he wouldn't be surprised if nearly every single one votes today.

loco here

voted at 5:45 pm

no line - no wait - walked right in - ID - vote

asked in another thread - there were only 1800 votes cast for the day - is that normal?

seems low

and seems everyone who went early to beat the lines got the lines instead
