Because if he wins, you can almost garauntee that before he leaves office, Obama will grant a full pardon to Hillary for any crimes or torts that may have been committed. Heck Obama's legal team is probably drafting that right now. Obama's got nothing to lose, and could pose this as "protecting someone from a political vendetta based on verbal threats made by Donald Trump". You're wrong. A president can make pre-emptive pardons, and the supreme court agreed it's a legal presidential power. So it's perfectly legal to pardon someone for anything that may or may not have occurred.
