Falls Church News Rag about to kick the bucket!

Rumor around town is that the liberal, lying shitstain of a paper might not make it into next week. Apparently advertisers have been pulling out for quite some time.

I'm sure many will now wonder what they will line their birdcages with.

Dude, where have you been? Major newspapers have been folding for years. Young people do not read newspapers or maybe they can't read at all, I don't know. That spells doom for newspapers nationwide.

What chance does a freebie bus stop paper have if the Post can't make it? I know the Post is still printed, but it is just a plaything for Jeff Bezos which he bought for peanuts. A billionaire can keep his hobby paper going as long as he wants.

Your right-wing Washington Times has never made a cent in it's entire history. But just like Bezos, the Moonies can keep it going forever if they want.

We aren't talking about major newspapers. Community newspapers and other weekly newspapers seem to be largely avoiding the fate of their daily brethren.

I haven't heard any such rumors, but I can't say I'd miss the News-Depression should it fold. The so-called "news" section is full of distortions, misinformation and the owner and editor-in-chief's opinions. The opinion section is even crazier.

One more thought: I can't say I'd be surprised if advertisers are indeed pulling their ads from the News-Depression, especially considering how many people the owner and editor-in-chief has offended.

Would you like to provide some data to back up your assertion? Community papers are profoundly affected by realtor.come. zillow, etc.

Nick is the shell of a crazy excentric. A community so small, with a paper so poorly written, and biased that shows up weekly could be entertaining, but like everything thing else in FCC, the FCNP is as bland as Wonder bread.

Sure thing. Once I do, I wonder what your reaction will be.

And yet they are surviving and sometimes thriving compared to their daily counterparts...

If you call Washington Times Right Wing, you need to be honest and call the Washington Post Left Wing.

If you don't think the Post is Left Wing, I have a timeshare in a Florida Swamp I'd gladly show you.
