Yeah, a friend of the cop found the gun and it accidentally fired, grazing a woman in the home. No matter what the cover(up) story, the fucking idiot should be out of a job...

Right. Someone should tell the cop "you use the BLUE tipped ones when the firearm is loaded in the house."

I love how both this and the shooting of a dump truck driver on 95 were depicted on the news as "NOT A TERRORIST OR NEW SNIPER ATTACK"

Duhn DUHN DUUUUUN. Everything now newsworthy we have to be assured it was not TERRORIST RELATED! Duh Duhn DUUUUN! This is Pat MaGroyn, for NBC news, in falls church a Cat was stuck in a tree, but dont worry the police are reporting that it WASNT Terrorist related! This is Al Kayda for NBC eyewitness news, in Fairoaks mall Santa had pennies thrown at him, the rent a cops on the scene reported it was local teens and not TERRORSIST RELATED! This is Terry Wrist of ABC action news, in Manassas battlefield a deer jumped out in front of a truck causing it to swerve and fall over backing up traffic on 66 for miles, Police are reporting the deer was not affiliated with any terrorist groups so this was an isolated incident and not TERRORIST RELATED!

if you hadnt noticed, the news in the USA is sooo politically bias on everything. the news shows on all the major stations are a joke. they arent news, they are entertainment. BBC actually provides unbiased news regardless of who or what is involved.

oh and news, regardless of who is reporting it IS biased by the very fact of who is reporting it. There is no such thing as unbiased news report. Some flesh and blood is picking which stories to report how they report them and at what angle they report them from. its all perspective. Bill O'riellies dream of a no spin zone world in which all firearms are taken thrown in the sea and we are all issued wrist rockets and tazers and burpguns is not gonna happen.

Ya know, safties don't work all the time. They can fail. If people would just take out the mag and make sure there's no round in the chamber they can play with it all they want. Theres no danger.

yeah that will prevent people from killing themselves and people around them... but really, who wants idiots to not accidentally shoot something or someone? so long as im not in range, keep the gun loaded and the safety off.

A gun safety can fail if the gun is dropped. The firing pin will fall regardless of the safety is it hits hard enough on the receiver.
Quite a few times people thought a gun was unloaded just because they removed the magazine. They forget, sometimes fatally, that there can still be a round in the chamber.

A semi automatic can fire if the person has their finger on the trigger when they chamber a round into the gun.

Anyone who owns a gun without taking a safety course is just an accident waiting to happen. The courses are cheap and well worth the information.

No gun should ever just be laying around like it appears it was in the cops case.
