Nikw Missle Site

I know the Nike Misssle Site off Popes Head Rd was plowed a number of years ago, but there used to be a second one there around Ladue Ln (I think) Anyone know if it is still there? I used crawl down in there back in the 80's when I was kid. One of the sites has a housing development on it. The other I'm not sure about, but it was just down the road off Popes Head too.

I did. I couldn't find anything about the second base that used to be there. But thanks anyway.

The launch facility for W-74 was off quiet brook road. The control facility for the same base was off ladue lane. The control facility consisted of administrative buildings, barracks, and radars. All the interesting stuff was removed from the control facility in the late 60s. Some of the administrative buildings are still there but it's now a fairfax county maint. yard where they store trucks and equipment. The launch facility is now a fairfax county park with soccer fields and tennis courts. This was a nike ajax site (so no nukes) and it was closed in 1963.
