Ride sharing from GMU to Centreville
Posted by: anagogue ()

Just wondering if anyone from Centreville has a late class at GMU (getting out at 10:00 PM) on Tuesdays this Fall. Due to my eyesight, I can't drive at night, and am looking for a way home in the evenings.

Also, 7:20 on Thursdays, but that's less important since the busses are still running.

I did try craigslist too, but didn't find anyone. I was just hoping someone else in Centreville would be going to GMU this Fall.

This is NOT the place for that. God only knows who you might end up riding with...

Anyways, good luck with your search.

Call or e-mail Bob Tennant or Josh Cantor in Transportation Services.

They might be able to help you or know someone who can.

Also check out Fairfax Connector routes... metro buses have pulled out of the schedule and now the connector is running there, so there may be routes that work with the times you need.

Best of luck, I suggest taking day classes then or living on campus. I know everyone's situation is different though. Lord knows as a freshman every class is full by sign-up time, my older brother had classes at 7am and 7pm so he had to drive there and back twice a day some days. Lucky for him we live close, but I know he hated it (ended up leaving). Thankfully I'll be living on campus at Providence for next to nothing as I have a uncle that teaches there.

Unfortunately Centreville will not be represented much this year at GMU. Many of the graduates and high school alumni will be guests of the Federal Bureau of Prisons this fall.
