Poison Ivy

What's the fastest cure for Poison Ivy? I know it gets in your bloodstream so what can a doctor give me for this. A shot.....steroids. Hate this crap.

Go to a doctor--even it it's one of those office park Urgent Care clinics.

Usually the prescription will be Benadryl and a topical spray steroid. The itching and spreading will stop before you come out of the Benadryl coma, and the hives and crap will dry up and peel off like a bad sunburn for a few days.

And another thing: Don't delay. If you have it so bad that you're even thinking it might get into your bloodstream, then it's only going to get worse until it's treated.

collect your urine and pour it on the affected area every 4 hours. poison ivy will go away within 3 days.

Buy a few pounds and bath three times a day for two or three days. Dries it up and no itching.

An old farmer says he swears by using white shoe polish. Put all over the affected area and it will dry out.

The urgent care/doc in the box will shoot you up with benadryl, per above. One of the calamine lotion products will help to relieve the itch and dry up the blisters. There are also OTC washes that some find effective.
