Homless/beggars

Has anyone else noticed an uptick in the amount of "homeless" people and beggars? I use quotations because, if you didn't already know, alot of these people are scamming you. Follow your conscience but I'm telling you from firsthand experience, they don't need your money. Anyway, what gives? Why is panhandling the new thing to do?

Most of them are mentally ill/drug addicts/alcoholics. We used to call them bums; but that became a politically incorrect term.
So, I call them "democrats looking for more free shit".

Most of them are mentally ill/drug addicts/alcoholics. We used to call them bums; but that became a politically incorrect term.

The beggars this week are firemen. Panhandling at many intersections with a boot in hand.
