Police Shootings in Fairfax County
Posted by: Real truther ()
Date: August 15, 2016 06:16PM

I've lived in Fairfax County a while and a number of these come to mind. In light of recent shootings nationally, I find it odd that the examples I know of (where the person was unarmed and possibly even complying involve white people. Can anyone think of other Fairfax examples besides that lady in the detention center?

Salvatore Culosi (gambling)
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/01/25/AR2006012502245.html

Aaron Brown (stealing pancakes)
http://m.connectionnewspapers.com/news/2006/mar/01/parking-lot-tragedy/?templates=mobile

David Masters (stealing flowers)
http://www.whsv.com/home/headlines/70283812.html

John Geer (being a general ass)
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_of_John_Geer

As a liberal, I think these are all tragedies but for recent, black, and publicized events, there only appears to be one that might not have been prevented simply by showing the officers respect, not resisting and not being a dick (Philando Castile)...again a tragedy. Am I the only liberal who doesn't think this is related to race and what other shootings have happened in Fairfax county that might prove me wrong? I'm looking to get some objective figures. Thanks!

The Police also have a really difficult job and I don't necessarily blame them either. Sometimes, it's just an sad accident.

OK -Where are the charges against the WHITE officers that shot and killed the criminals in Louisiana and Minnesota about a month ago?

All of the bullshit with that woman named Lavish filming the death of her Baby Daddy, and the aftermath that led to those cops in Dallas being gunned down.

The fact is those were good shoots.

Cops are good, some people are bad, and some are ignorant like the OP.

add this to your list of NOT a bad cop or shooting

philando had a GUN ON HIS LAP when the cop said "don't move your hands, hands up"

that is why in the video the cop still has his gun on him + the gf and said multiple times for HER not to reach towards philando, because the GUN WAS SITTING IN HIS LAP

her account was 100% lies and have been debunked for a while now

the only bad shoot I can find is the guy in SC that was running away with no weapon

That Black Female States Attorney - Marilyn Mosby is responsible for what happened to those Baltimore police officers.

I hope she loses her law license, gets fired, and the officers sue the shit out of her.

One evil bitch - There is a special place in hell for people like her.

The cop in Minnesota was Hispanic. I feel terrible for him but in the video, he clearly was like (actually, literally like, "Fuck!") I'm not totally trying to dispute that one, just seems reasonable that Philando was going for his wallet and the cop made a mistake. I don't think the evidence exists that would call that one a good shooting. I don't blame the cop, it's a tough job. Again, I said this might be the ONE exception to fact that all you have to do is follow the police's orders and if you are innocent, you're going to sleep in your bed that night. My real point here is that it's not a race issue. Seems like a few of you are missing that. Plenty examples either way. Does no one have any other in Ffx?

you are 100% wrong

the video the gf made SHOWS THE GUN ON HIS LAP

the cop saw the gun and ordered phila to put his hands up and not move - phila AFTER GETTTING THE ORDERS reached towards his LAP, WHERE THE GUN WAS and was shot

never was he reaching for a wallet, that is the bullshit story the gf made up

just like the kid who said mike brown was - 1. on his knees 2. facing AWAY from the cop 3. with his hands up and the cop shot him

all were lies and proven false

here is a image of the gun FROM THE GFs VIDEO

If you disagree, I might be like 12% wrong, tops. Either way, it's not my point what so ever and what you disagree with can't be proven....unless they release the dash cam, which they have not done. Regardless, I don't blame the police and my point from the beginning is that these are not race issues and the cops really can't be held to blame...so not sure what's up your panties.

I think I can see gray areas that maybe you are not capable of seeing. It's ok, I don't blame you...mostly your parents genes at fault.

the cop yells fuck because he was forced to shoot someone that did not listen to simple instructions and REACHED to their lap WHERE THERE WAS A GUN - the cop is probably is shock too, these guys do not want to shoot people

you are wrong and I do not care what you think about ANYTHING else if you can not accept reality in this one case

being willfully ignorant is the problem, just as you are doing, so your opinion and thoughts are irrellevant

The Aaron Brown shooting did not involve Fairfax County cops. The shooting was not in Fairfax County even. This happened in ALEAXANDRIA CITY and was Alexandria cops.

Real truther is an arrogant term. It implies that the one claiming that title is smarter, knows the only correct veiw of a given set of facts. It also implies that everyone else is wrong, stupid, and deserves to be judged by the all seeing and all knowing people who claim this title for themselves. It is also the banner of someone with a closed mind. When you lable someone else a flat earther, the implication that they are ignorant and have an unwillingness or inability to grasp new information or embrace new concepts is so ironic, because by dismissing them in this way, it actually proves that these failings are more evident in the accuser. Liberal's for all their posturing and incriminations of the misdeeds of others, are for the most part, some of the most judgemental, close minded, racist mean spirited individuals in society. Physician heal thyself, and then, if you must, judge others for our ignorant, racist, selfish ways.

I have always looked at these officer involved shootings objectively and have seen a lot of shootings that werent hyped up bub the media involving all races. Remember the Asian lady who was shot at a Costco in leedburg or chsntilly I believe who was threatening people with a knife? There have been some blacks shot and plenty of white people as well. The jobless last ghetto blacks are easily riled up by anyone and I blame obama (Who I voted for unfortunately) and the media also for this shit.

The truther movement deals with conspiracy. The Real truther movement maintains the goal to deal in only real facts and objective truth. If that's arrogance then so be it.

The Real truther movement won't fall for the smoke and mirrors, rhetoric in the Media or on Fox News. It also does not believe that there is an epidemic regarding police shootings that are racially motivated. It believes is the threat of Islamic fundamentalists and is neither conservative or flat out liberal. It believes that the biggest threat to black lives are black people with guns, not police. It believes that climate change cannot be ignored. Why? Because those are the facts, the research and appeals to those seeking objective truth. If you disagree, present a logical argument based in facts and you will likely sway a real truther. But don't try to manipulate based on emotion, scare tactics or conspiracy.

Shot by a careless fumbling cop with a .45 single action automatic SWAT pistol by "opps" mistake to bust him for some sports gambling . Sal was licensed OD and had a business at stake plus his license , they could have sent him a summons for Christs Sake to appear at a station and surrender . Why the high horse firepower for a minor bust that was only a gambling charge not any thing violent

When you have 1.1 million people in a County with a BOS type of small population government designed for Hooterville or Lee Co Va. and no mayor in charge that can fire Police Chiefs that don't fire bad cops . Mayors that can be held accountable by voters , that what you get.. Abuse because no ones in charge in Fairfax County

So I guess the question remains, any other examples? How about in other cities? Seems to me like in black towns, blacks tend to get shot. In white towns, whites tend to get shot.

Jerome Wilson, Jr.
Jerome "Jaybird" Wilson, Jr. (November 22, 1944 – October 5, 1970) was a 25-year-old truck driver from Arlington who was shot and mortally wounded by his wife, 21-year-old Joan D. Wilson, as they waited with their two children in the parking lot of the Luther Jackson Intermediate School in Falls Church on October 4, 1970.[1][2]
Wilson then wrestled the .22 caliber revolver away from his wife and shot her to death. He was taken to Fairfax Hospital, where he died early the next morning.[1]

Felix K. Rorls

Felix Kenneth "Cat Man" Rorls (August 15, 1948 - August 22, 1974) was a 26-year-old Clifton man who was shot to death by Fairfax County Police Officer John R. Mueller at the 7-Eleven at 443 Elden Street in Herndon on August 22, 1974.[1][2][3]
There was a history of interactions between Rorls and Officer Mueller, who had previously arrested Rorls for driving without a license in August, 1973, and February, 1974. When Mueller demanded to see Rorls' driving permit, a fight broke out and Rorls began beating Officer Mueller with his own nightstick, prompting Mueller to shoot Rorls four times. [1][4]
Conflicting accounts about Rorls' death sparked a small riot in Herndon's black community.[1]
Although a grand jury refused to indict Mueller, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors paid a $25,000 settlement to Rorl's older brother Thomas to settle a $2 million lawsuit on August 19, 1975.[4][5]

Leonard Dodson
Leonard E. Dodson (July 5, 1920 – January 1, 1956) was a 35-year-old carpenter who was drunkenly shot to death by 45-year-old sore loser Robert B. Rueger after delivering a beatdown to Rueger at Rueger's Franconia farm on Beulah Road on January 1, 1956.[1]
Dodson and his 29-year-old cousin James E. Love had been drinking beer earlier that evening and, because mixing alcohol and firearms is always an excellent choice, decided to attend a turkey shoot Rueger was hosting. After drinking more whiskey and celebrating the New year with gunfire, Dodson and Rueger somehow got into a fight. During the fight, Rueger drew a .45 automatic pistol, which Love wrestled away from him and hid nearby. Mrs. Dodson attempted to break up the fight with a shotgun, which Love took away from her.[2]
Love and Dodson then decided to leave the party, but Love's shitmobile wouldn't start, so Dodson got out to push. At that point, Rueger came out of his house, having retrieved his pistol from where Love had hidden it and fired a single shot at Love, grazing Love's scalp. Rueger then used the remaining six shots on Dodson, firing the last three into the prostrate man just in time for Fairfax County Police Private Robert A. Pillow to watch.[2]

Wayne T. Hulvey
Wayne T. "Breezy" Hulvey (October 23, 1934 – May 20, 1956) was a 21-year-old Groveton man who was killed when he fell out of a moving car driven by Fairfax County Police Private Robert E. Pillow on South Kings Highway near State Route 1440 in Alexandria on May 20, 1956.[1]
Both Hulvey and Pillow had been drinking.
