Israel is like the US when it was waging war against the Indians, when the Chinese invaded Tibet, and when the Russian subjugated Ukraine. They see themselves as a regional empire.

For Netanyahu, Lieberman, Bennet etc., Israel is an ethnically discriminating, single religion identifying country with a "Biblical" claim to land. One verifiable fact about Israeli that never makes it to the surface in all the discussions about their legitimacy to the land they own is that they bought and paid for all the land they were originally living on, from the Arabs that now want to take it back by force. The land was abused and no real improvements had been done for centuries. Once the Jews turned it into forrest and valuable farm land, the Arabs wanted it back. All people living in Israel were allowed the same citizenship and rights, but the Palestinian s choose to kill and destroy instead. They still are, going on 7 decades. Most Arab countries will not even allow Palestinians to enter. If only Hillary and Obama could run Israel, they could take all the guns away, and there would be love and peace. Or, maybe all the Jews would be slaughtered. Either way, problem solved.

Your comment refers to the land transfers within what was the British Mandate of Palestine prior to the establishment of Israel (and some of the transfers after the establishment of the State). However, there are numerous examples of Palestinians being forced from their homes and paid below market prices (or not paid at all) in what is not the State of Israel. The occupied territories are simply the stealing of land - plain and simple...

The illegal settlement and Arab reprisal attacks create a cycle where Israel keeps creating security 'buffers' by driving Arabs off their land and then seizing more land for Jewish immigrants.

Bullshit. They have seized land in wars, including the Golan Heights. And Israel kept them because it's the high ground overlooking half the country which Syria used in two wars to launch both ground and artillery/rocket attacks. They gave back Sinai to Egypt, which had given Israel the Eastern bank of the Suez canal as well as a southern flank against Jordon and Saudi Arabia for both military and intel. And Sinai almost doubled the landmass of the country before they gave it back.

Israel is consolidating ('acquiring' as you wrote) Jerusalem, which they consider their historical capital. And the Clinton peace accords was going to give the Palestinians half of that. The Palestinian response? Reject the accord and launch rocket and terrorist attacks.
