Little River Turnpike

Does anyone know what or where the "Little River" is which is referred to in "Little River Turnpike"? Usually, turnpikes were private roads - like today's toll roads - when was the Turnpike chartered and when did it become a public road?

The Little River is in Aldie.

The Fairfax and Loudoun Turnpike Road Company was chartered in 1795 but went bust. It was reorganized into the Little River Turnpike Company in 1801.

Just in case anyone's confused, the band is from Australia and hasn't anything to do with the road or anything. However, "Little River Turnpike Band" would be an awesome name for a tribute band....
