Has anyone used RapidPass emissions testing???

Drove through Monday morning and they still don't have my car in their system, so during lunch today I drove through 3 fucking times at a different testing location. Anybody have any luck with this system or is it a fucking scam?? Thanks!

It's a scam. But not in the true sense.

Anyways, I don't go through them. I will pull over, then go around them on the shoulder.

They used to be operated out of a van. Last ones I saw were unmanned, and looked like a file box on the shoulder, and another ahead 200' on the left side of the ramp, which was probably the camera. So if you don't have a front plate, how will it help?

It takes a few days to upload the shit...sometimes a week. And if you have a fucked up car or drive through it like a dumbass it probably won't register.

Front plates are required in VA, no front plate, no tickey, no washey.

it is not just to be clean. a car that fails emissions will blow the motor. your wise State officials don't want uneducated people blowing motors for a $100 fix. it costs too much for you and the people around you to melt it all back down and make a new one.

How does a failure on emissions tests "blow a motor"?

If I put straight pipes or some other emissions defeat device on my car, even with o2 simulators, or tuned out, how will my motor blow, exactly?

Hint: it won't.
