I got the plate of the car thats been throwing crap on my cars. Where can i get an address? Id rather talk to the kids parents before having to resort to an insurance claim for the damages...Im pretty sure its a bunch of juveniles from what I saw.

I've come to expect a couple kinds of responses to questions here. Sometimes you get a legitimate answer. Some times you get something funny and off-the-wall, like "Go fuck your mother!"

But this? This is neither. Skbgjnn, you sir, can suck a dick.

Fight fire with fire..wait down the street a bit and wait for them lil suckers to do it again, then drop an anvil on their windshield, Wylie Coyote style!

Or follow 'em in a diff car. If you want to find where they live, shouldn't be that hard. If all you want is to talk to the parents, be prepared with video evidence. Some parents may just slam the door in your face.

In the end, probably easier to just tell the cops. Let them give a little scare to the parents and kids and it's handled a little better.

Pretty sure the only people that run tags are PD or someone at a DMV office.

I'd video tape it before talking to the parents. In this area there is a good chance the parents will deny it is their kid.

You could probably report it to the police, explain the situation and they would give you the parents contact info. Remember police are really "public safety officers."

Get a paintball gun, and make this into a game.

Install a camera and then forward the footage to the authorities.

Or do what I did when someone was stealing my UPS / FedEx packages: Lay in the backseat with a baseball bat and a camera. When they steal it, snap the photo, then pop out and scare the living shit out of them. Problem solved.

Don't want to be a buzzkill, but that's illegal. Some kids trashed my halloween decorations one night, then came back about 3 nights later and did it again. Figuring most idiot kids often go to the well one too many times, I staked out about 3 nights in a row with my paintball gun ready to light somebody's ass up. Unfortunately, they never came back, but I found out from my federal agent friend that if I did end up tagging them, I would be in more trouble then the kids would be. Talk about being a Debbie Downer...

Or, befriend a cop or clerk of the court.

They usually aren't fun to hang around for longer than 15 minutes, but that's long enough to get the information you need.

Yeah, but who has to find out that you hit a punk in his backside with a paintball barrage? Just be careful not to hit him in the face, because that could turn out real bad for everyone.

I remember CSI had this guy on it one time who was fed up with kids driving down the highway in the desert and smash his mailbox. He installed a box that detached from the post and just slid down onto it. He then took the box and filled it with cement, so when the kids drove by in a convertable and one hit it with a baseball bat, it didn't break and the car spun out into a tree killing all the kids.

Glad I never watch CSI. They really stretch reality.

How would someone hanging out a window swinging a baseball bat at a concrete block on a pole cause a car to spin out of control?

At best, I could maybe understand the person swinging the bat might break their arm or injure themself in some way.

The only thing I can think of would be the guy standing in the back seat is swinging and when he makes contact the car is moving forward and he's getting pulled back out of the car and perhaps his lef/foot crack the driver in the back of the head. Either that or the driver turns around as the guy falls out of the car and he loses control of the wheel.

It would definitely require a certain chain of events to occur.

A person swinging a bat would never transfer enough energy back to the car to cause it to spin out of control.

Sounds like something worth submitting to "Mythbusters". Just imagine what sort of tests they would come up with to prove or disprove the CSI myth.

I looked up the episode guide on google. Said a piece of the bat broke off and hit the guy in the head which I find odd.

Only reasonable thing I could think of, would be the guy swinging the bat breaks his arm or dislocates his should and the loud sound of the bat breaking coupled with the guy screaming causes the driver (who is speeding) to turn around and freak out and loose control of the car.

Mythbusters could devote an entire episode exploring different explanations for something like this.

It would probably be a really good episode.

I've known of a few punks who broke their arms on Cemented mailboxes, but the best was a guy in Alaska who kept having his entire post broken by some clown in a jacked-up Pick-up truck. He put the pole in the ground, and poured cement into it, lol then later that night he heard a crash and went outside to find the truck stuck with the pole sticking up through its floorboard.

Anyone who destroys property which is not their own, should definitely get a real whooping.

reason and CSI do not go hand in hand.
