Think again! I was hit up at the Shoppers in Centreville by a Hispanic woman begging for money, she was rolling around with a cart full of food with a kid in tow, flashing a folded index card asking for money. Eventually one of the shoppers must have reported her because she was escorted out of the store by mgmt., this county needs to rid itself of panhandlers. I usually see a guy at the intersection of 28 and Clifton Road (on the 7-11 side) begging, he will walk up and down the median strip holding up a cardboard sign.
Had one woman in Rockville banging on my car window because I was not looking at her panhandling, I rolled down my window and told her to back off or I was calling the police for assault.
Now that it will be getting warmer, panhandlers will be out in droves. They also like Fair Lakes shopping Center.
