Why are all these old threads from 2006 and 2007 popping up? Is one person purposely doing it to troll?

Not even close. The server FFXU runs on can more than handle one shithead maniacally bumping ancient threads.

The only thing that happens is that new, relevant threads get buried, and people get annoyed and stop using FFXU.

Because we used the "search" function to find a relevant thread to comment on vs. starting a new one-then getting flamed for "re-posting".

There are some good conversations from then, and we simply wish to continue them.

It's all just assholes venting the frustrations they accumulAte each day. One thing to do is just post some token reply to threads that are older than the troll-threads until those are forced off the first page.

Hah! You beat me to it with the comment. And good link. Tried to watch a few minutes of that show once, by accident (I was doing something when another show ended and didn't bother to change the channel). Besides the bad tech, what really drove me up the wall was the people explaining things *to each other*. I told my wife, "It's like a medical show where the nurse says to the doctor, 'If we don't stop the bleeding, he'll die!'" -- just stupid.
