Fairfax County is auctioning off buses- nine of them, in fact.
The county is selling nine 2002 Orion V diesel buses- seven 35-foot models and two 30-foot models- that have been retired from the Fairfax Connector bus service fleet.
They're going for cheap, too! For most of them the current bid is $1125.00, although a couple are still listed under $1100.
The buses are listed on the Public Surplus auction site at http://www.publicsurplus.com/sms/fairfaxco,va/list/current?orgid=50663. Just search for the keyword "bus".
If you've been in the market for a beater car, why not consider buying a beater bus instead? You'd better hurry, though. The auction ends Monday, March 14 at 5:00 p.m.
