Is this gasoline hack legal?
Posted by: Opec ()

If I participate in the Safeway gas savings program, can I pull both of my cars up to the same pump and fill them both up when I have my 60 cents off at the end of the month without shutting off the pump in between filling each car in order to get the discount on all of the gas or is the gas station employee going to yell at me?

And do I care if the gas station employee yells at me when I'm saving 60 cents a gallon?

Do I ask for forgiveness rather than permission even though I'm going to do the same thing at the same station next month?

Usually those programs have a maximum gallon limitation placed on the discount. I believe it is capped at 20 gallons or so.

So, I see nothing wrong with you bringing both cars, but if they are both on empty, the discount won't apply to filling them both up.

There is a cap on the amount of gasoline that may be purchased - Once the number of gallons of gasoline has been reached, the pump will shut off, and your purchase will be complete.

Giant has a maximum of 35 gallons.

HOWEVER

In the FAQ section:

Q
can I use my discount on more than one vehicle at a time?

A
No. The discount can only be used on one vehicle, limited to the tank's capacity, not to exceed 35 gallons.

Most cars have maybe a 15-gallon tank give or take a few. There's no way for them to stop people from positioning 2 cars at a pump and filing both. I've seen couples doing just this with their giant points.

Didn't Safeway discontinue their gas program a few months ago?

We know. We ALLLLLLL know. You're so butt-hurt.

Look...go back down to your room, errrr I mean your parents' basement. Don't worry, Mommy will be down soon to smother your genitals with marshmallow fluff while Daddy plays hide the nine iron in your ass and then watches you lick your own shit off the end of it. Then you can all watch "Splendor in the Ass, Part 6" together...

I dont know, I fill up my vehicle and a few 5 gallon gas cans so if you can reach the hose from one car to another, as long as you dont exceed your gallons I dont see why you cant do it. Usually Late at night when you can take up 2 spots at the same island one car each side..

The legal hack is the one where people put a credit card scanner on the terminals at the pumps.

I used to do it all the time with my giant card, when I was putting my daughter through college. Giants cap was large enough to fill up both my cars when they were empty. Saved a lot of bucks. Don't know about Safeway.

Hey, rickies, I use my money metal Safeway card all the time, but I never get no sweet gasoline discount since like hurting 2009. It's a show.

Borgata.

If you drive 12,000 miles per year and get 20 mpg, you are using 600 gallons of gas. If you can average 25 cents off per gallon via your grocery shopping, you would save $150 per year. Maybe that's a lot, maybe it isn't.
