All wheel drive is not jack shit with the snow that's coming. The snow will pack up under the body of the car and your ass is cooked. 8 inches will do it.

To drive in the snow there calling for you need a old hillbilly Ford Hi Boy F250 4x4 with a snow blade and narrow tires with chains on all 4 . With the blade down about 15 inches off the ground you will get through. Forget it with a lousy AWD car. Even a Chevy 4x4 or todays Fords or a Dodge will go thru much more snow then ay stinking AWD car.

Most AWD systems are almost fully FWD, and only 10% to the rear when the front slips. Pretty lame.
