Which one would you rather go to? Fair Oaks or Tysons?

Fair Oaks. Not just because it happens to be nearer to me, but because, sucky as the parking lot access is, it's better than Tyson's. To get to Tyson's, you have to navigate the Tyson's traffic.

I used to work at the end of Spring Hill past where Fuddrucker's used to be. In 1995 or so, a coworker went to Pike 7 Plaza at lunch to buy something a week before Christmas. Two hours later, she came back. We asked what happened: she said she waited 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot; finally she gave up, parked, and walked back.

And that was 20 years ago, when the service roads were still there! Hard to believe it's gotten *better*.

(And yes, before folks get all macho, she's not the most aggressive driver in the world--but she's not a total wimp, either, and commuted from Gaithersburg to Tyson's for a decade, so she was used to traffic. My point stands.)

Question is too open.
Depends on time of year, time of day, purpose of visit.
Amount of free time I have.

If you're black, go to Tysons. Easier to hop on the Silverback line, do your shoplifting and get back to Anacostia.

If you want be a witness of victim of crime, go to Tysons.

Until the Silver Line showed up I would have said Tysons.

Then you ignore the racist bullshit and go where you can get what you're looking for. Tysons - more stores, selection and traffic. Fair Oaks - not as many stores less traffic depending on day and time.

You'd be the only black there, judging by those shoppers who were there yesterday.

He lives in Manassas, he has no fucking idea what he's talking about. The only mall he knows is Manassas mall. He can't afford to live in Fairfax where these roving gangs of black people are.
