I remember the Winn Dixies and Hannafords that used to be in southern Virginia. Now those were trsashy
This past summer while visiting family down in rural Georgia I got to make my first trip to a Piggly Wiggly located in Hoboken Georgia. It was small, dirty and rather unpleasant to look at.An that was jsut the customers. Back in one corner of the store they had a bunch of pic-nic tables set up where customers could eat their lunch that they had ordered from the delli. It was a rough looking crowd. SO I grabbed a six-pack of Cheerwine and some moom pies, plus some tee shirts on the way out. A few days later we stopped in Charleston S.C. and I noticed they had a nice new store. While the building impressed me, it was really the sign out fromt that caught my attention.
