A lot of trees coming down at the parks entrance area, 495/Braddock getting a new lane?

There doing a big job on the creek in their and the trail 2 plus milion. A lot of erosion control rip rap

The Audrey Moore Rec Center is located in Wakefield Park. In fact its official name is "The Audrey Moore Rec Center at Wakefield Park." Moore herself is of course fondly remembered as the Venezuela-born Democrat who finally kicked the ass of Jack Herrity and ended the era of free-rein for developers in Fairfax County.

Dating myself but i played on the spaceship playground the first day it was opened. Spent countless hours in all the woods between the 236/Accotink creek and Accotink creek/Rt 1. My folks never really knew or worried about where I was all summer. Go out and play.

Herrity did a lot to modernize and develop Fairfax County into the huge economic engine it became. But he was a one-trick pony, and Moore was able to beat him on a simple "enough is enough" platform. Probably for the best, as until just lately at least, we've had more sensible approaches to taxation and development.

if it's for buildings it's called grading
