Tons of Cop Cars & Helicopter on Westmoreland St

The cops were stationed on Westmoreland St. and several side streets around 11:15 pm tonight. Apparently there was an attempted robbery/break-in???? Can anyone confirm?

There were at least 6 cop cars and the helicopter was flying overhead for about 30 minutes so it seemed a little extreme for an attempted "break-in."

This is actually par for the course in Fairfax. They send the helicopter up for teenagers drinking in the woods, they'll certainly send it up for real crime.

The Fairfax County Police helicopter actually did a fly over at the Fairfax County Police Association golf tournament at Chantilly Country Club on Monday morning (right after the conclusion of the singing of our national anthem). You know you have a lot of money when you do a fly over with your helicopter at a small golf outing..

Listening to the online scanner if you are wondering if something is going on is a great way to keep on top of things... that's what someone here would do in order to try to answer your question.
