Dipshit parents on Halloween

Okay so last night was halloween. Parents are chaperoning their kids while they go trick or treating... no big deal.

My neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks and people have started clearing leaves off their lawns and putting them out by the road for county pickup. So the street is a bit narrower than normal. I left my house around 830ish to go out. I take into consideration that roads are narrower than usual and that there's going to be a ton of kids out - so instead of sticking to the 25 MPH speed limit, I bring it down to 12-15 MPH - a reasonable speed where I'm not going to run any of these brats over, but still be able to get to where I need to go.

As I round the first couple turns, a large group (maybe 10 parents and kids) is ahead of me on the right, half standing in a driveway and halfway in the street. I slow to 10 MPH before getting close to them, and as soon as I'm maybe 20 or 30 yards from the group I get blinded by an LED flashlight, being held and waved around by a parent. As I proceed to pull past them at basically a crawling speed now because my eyes still haven't readjusted, I put down the passenger side window and let him know it's not necessary to try and blind me as I drive past their group. (I keep my language PG because someone has to set a good example, because obviously the parents aren't.) "YOU'RE GOING TOO FAST" is what he screams at me and proceeds to rant about my driving. As I'm driving away another guy screams "SLOW DOWN!" through my open window after nearly stepping out in front of my car. Scolding me like I'm one of their kids. Fuck off douche.

What the fuck is wrong with these people? Do they want to get run over? This has never been an issue in the halloweens of the past. WE SEE YOU AND YOUR LITTLE MINIONS JUUUUUUUST FINE WITH THESE WONDERFUL INVENTIONS CALLED HEADLIGHTS.

I'm sorry but roads are designed for vehicular traffic first; bikers and walkers come second to that. Have a problem with people driving a reasonable speed through the neighborhood? Take your fucking kids to a subdivision that has sidewalks, there's plenty within a short walk of my particular neighborhood. No one forces you to trick or treat in the neighborhood that you live in.

Or you could slow down or better yet, stay home.
Just because you are narcisstic doesn't mean you are important.
