There's about 4. Moderates (Tuesday Group/Republican Main Street Partnership), Establishment (the majority), Tea Party and Freedom Caucus (more libertarian).

No, but it took you ten years to find the forum.

Let's face the simple truth -- Republicans are the party of the dumb. They appeal to fear and emotion because their intended audience CAN'T DO the intellectual stuff. Republicans do nothing well. They haven't been right about anything in decades.

Both parties have smart folks, both parties have low information voters. The "you're dumb! No, you're dumb!" arguments are a waste of time.

Listen to the candidates, think about what they are saying and whether what they say makes sense and rings true, do your homework and vote.

Do that, and regardless of who wins, you can at least feel good that you did your job.

It is most healthy to have and be able to express different viewpoints. Dems seem to walk /goose step together without individual thought. That's what's really concerning.

The bulk of the public lacks the capacity to do that. They are not well enough educated to be able to separate the lies from the facts. Hence they are bombarded by manipulative messages that appeal to fear and emotion. Many simply fall for such swill. You can read the sorry results here daily. You yourself have been a part of that at times.

That's quite backwards. The right has always been the home of demagogues and the born-followers who long for someone to march behind. The left by contrast is like a herd of cats. Each has his ir her own ideas and march to the beat of a different drum. Which side gloms by the thousands onto the mesmerizing siren songs of Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, Sean Hannity, or Bill O'Reilly? Which side turns away from them?

I hope not. I do my best to be more than just a propagandist. It doesn't take a lot of education to be able to smell when someone is lying to you.

Unfortunately, we've gotten so used to being lied to that it's hard to realize when it's not happening.

How old are you? Are you really that naive? Look, all libs lie, it's a scientific fact. libs love that. Lying and deceit are liberal values and progressive ideas. libs just hate anything that resembles truth.

Ah, but the fact is Republican economic and foreign policies have proven to be resounding failures for decades again and again.

You would love to simplify the differences between the politicians and the constituencies as though they are practically non existent. But the fact is Republicanism has failed us. It's economic policies have failed us. Our biggest problems as a nation today, increased terror, massive amounts of debt, never ending wars, less liberty, income inequality, wealth concentration, disenfranchisement, governmental paralysis and highest per capita incarceration of any country in the entire world are ALL the result of specific Republican policies, agendas and continued rhetoric.

So, no, there are critical differences between both the politicians and the people of the two main competing parties. And with the track record of the two parties in contrast to one another. One of the parties would naturally have to have much dumber supporters.

Come on, Gerry. Not even you can actually believe that's true. Those are all national level problems, not local issues, and I doubt you'd say that locally things are horrendous, given that Democrats have been in control for more than a decade.

Half the complaints you listed are Republican complaints about Democratic policies.

Of course. The Republicans are one giant, monolithic block and the democrats have multiple factions which often fight each other more than they fight the political opposition. Just look at the recent example of how the democrats took out their leader in the House as an example of how fractured they are. Or how they have over a dozen candidates running for president with a wide variety of views. Those monolithic republicans with their coronation of what's-her-name and how they ignore all the evidence that their grifter-queen has lied to Congress, the American people and federal investigators for decades while lining her pockets with dirty money from Russians, Saudis, China and all those other respectable enemies of America.

Damn facts!!!!! Ignore the facts sheeple. Listen to the main stream media and fools like the dude above.

Maintaining a favorable environment for "corporations" is a part of the job of any politician. That's not the only part however, as the awful misadventures of George W Bush should certainly have taught by now.

Go back to the mesmerizing siren songs of Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, Sean Hannity, and Bill O'Reilly, you crippled pinhead. The right-wing is powered by the backroom money of the Koch brothers and other hard-right corporate extremists. Like Shakespeare, they allow clowns to strut and fret their way upon the stage for a time, and then the curtain comes down. They use feint and misdirection to rile people up against vapid straw-men like immigrants, unions, Planned Parenthood, Muslims, public sector workers, welfare, health care, and Social Security. They tell you what they are against and hope to scare you into voting for them without your ever asking them what it is they are for. After all, all that they are for is the continued ruination of your life -- exactly what they have been busy with for 35 years and more.

The GOP is broken. Until we realize this, we'll loose elections and get nothing passed. When GOP ties social issue to their agenda, they loose every time. Because the fact is that most people are pro-choice and could care less about gay marriage. As a republican, I tired of being tied to pro-life and man-woman marriage nuts. I want small government PERIOD.

The democrats want larger government and more regulation. This is because the government does things better than private enterprise. Yeah right!

Truth is that whether you a republican or democrat each administration has exponentially grown the government during his administration. So what is the point to a particular party?

As an American, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. It's not candidates that are bad, but party's identity that is bad.

Lastly, you lazy staffers please get a real job and stop calling my house!
