When are they going to knock these fucking buildings down. They're both abandoned.

They should tear them down and build a Starbucks or a Staples

They should build a vagina-shaped hotel near the Sheraton Preimere phallic complex company to keep it company.

Why knock them down if there's a bunch of refugees coming your way? Those buildings might be needed for housing, or a community center.

That Best Western is a major Backpage hooker meeting place. Leave it alone!

The Best Western was closed last summer. There are plans to tear it down and redevelop that site.

Not sure on what is going to happen with the bank, but the Best Western 5 acre site is slated for total redevelopment fairly soon.

The entire Tysons area is an eyesore and you have an issue with two buildings?

Hell, you can go further than that. 123 from 66 to 267 is disgusting.

If you are so concerned with the buildings then grow a set, purchase the land and knock them down yourself. "they" is a word in a pussies vocabulary.

NO, SAIC had asked to buy the land for a parking lot several times over the years but the owners (Dittmar Company) did not want to sell.

Dittmar, as a company, is a builder. Not really a seller. They knew the property would be valuable when the metro came in so they hung on to it.

When Metro did move in, Fairfax County took part of the land in the parking lot. Dittmar said "ok, but we want a zoning variance..." that would allow them to build high rise apartments, hotel and some retail on the property. Fairfax granted them the variance.

Construction on the site is planned, but will not happen till probably close to a year from now.

When was that? I worked at Tyson's starting in 1990, am thinking it was gone before that? Which side of the overpass? I'm guessing somewhere around where Merchant's Tire was until the Metro came in. Just curious about this ancient history--seems so un-Tyson's-like!

Tysons Meat Locker, was most recently the Orvis store, may be something else now?

You could bring your deer or wild game to the place to be butchered and packed. Used to be a very busy place.

Got stated when the owner of the Tysons 2 property used to raise cattle and he got into a pissing match with Fairfax Meat Locker, so he set up his brother in-law on his property in new building to process his cattle.
