most illegals here are from El Salvador. Just because they make their way across the Mexican border into the US doesnt make them "Mexicans". Call an immigrant legal or illegal a "Mexican" when they are from El Salvador may get your ass kicked. I used to drive a beer truck throughout Ffx Co. which included every part of the county that is thick with illegals. Had my beer truck raided more than once.
Call a Vietnamese Chinese and you may find yourself quickly corrected or even your ass kicked. Remember having to push handtruck loads of beer into the little mom and pops in Eden Center. At the time Eden was run by Asian gangs they always thought I was undercover Ffx Pd. (Im a big clean cut military looking white guy). The never stole beer off my truck but did notice a few gang bangers clear out of the center whenever I pulled in. At the time (1995-97) FCPD loved to bust them cause it was so easy as they were all concetrated into Eden Center most the time.
and yes for gods sake NEVER hire a day laboror hanging out in front of 7-11 or HD. These guys are usually drunk, want no less than $150 for the day and are more interested in casing your house for robbery. As to the OP so many come to NOVA because there is non stop growth here that needs cheap labor like nowhere else in the country. Shit I see more illegal and legal south of the border immigrants here than I did in southern California..
