Silas Burke House - Inhabited?

Is the Silas Burke house occupied with residence? Is it open for tours? Why is it even there?

The house has been sold to Sunrise Senior Living who are going to build a facility on the property.

The house will be preserved though it might be attached to the new building.

They may allow the occasional tour of the old house once everything is up and running.

It's there becuase that's where Silas Burke lived. The town is named after him and it's a historical piece of property. It was part of the charm of the non-developed Burke and now it seems as if every single inch of undeveloped land must be built upon.

You could see the Washington Monument from up on that house. You might still be able to on a clear day if new buildings are not in the way.
