Unless you are he one who called them, it is not likely to be in your interests ever to talk to a police officer at all. If you are caught in a traffic stop, pull over right away, turn off the car, set the parking brake, turn on the inside lights, and put your hands on top of the steering wheel. Be sure car windows are closed, but leave the driver's side window open just far enough to pass the usual documents back and forth.
