6 unexcaused absences

Today I talked to my Assitant Principal, and she said I have 6 unexcused absences.
on the following dates 10-31 (B)11-26 (B)12-19 (A)3-27 (B)5-11 (B) 5-29 (A) and she said she HAS to write me up to an attandance offcer does this mean I have to go to court? Why does she have to write me up when school ends in two weeks? I am moving and going to attended a school in Wood-bridge next year,so why do they care?

She's writing you up because your responsibility as a student is to show up for class. Also, please take a writing, grammar and spelling class. (SMH)

in late 1980's, near 1990, our school got a black DC principle.
it was part of the "racial quota hiring" thing
1 un-excused abscense was an F for all classes for the whole year (anything to target those whiteys - and NO DOUBT the few non-white in the school ever got an unexcused though they weren't in school some days)
also: a total of 30 seconds late in any class resulted in an F for the year. she the black principle made all teachers buy stop-watches to time the seconds
