Because there are so many overachievers it is considered pointless. They let colleges use other criteria. It actually makes sense. So what if you graduated in the top 10% of your class or #10 of 500 when like 100 kids have 4.0 or greater?

Because it would mean that FCPS is embarrassing the black students who would overwhelmingly be ranked at the bottom of their class, which of course would then be explained as discrimination and racism by FCPS against black students. So its much easier not to rank students.

My son came home with his H.S. yearbook on Friday.

When did they stop listing what the seniors' activities -- NHS 3,4; Varsity Football 3,4; etc.?

The special flowers can't take that they weren't involved in anything? Detention 1,2,3,4; Probation 2,4; Breaking and Entering Team 1,2,4.

I don't get it. He goes to Annandale (okay, I know its not the greatest FCPS school) but does every H.S. do this?
