Best place to check is Craigslist, I meet guys there weekly. I usually hook up at different rest-stops up and down 95.

I have only gotten genital warts once and no other stds, so I am lucky.

Most gays around here live in DC. The smaller number of them that live in Virginia live in Arlington, especially Crystal City. The gay bars are all in DC, around Dupont Circle, aka the "fruit loop". There are no gay bars in VA as far as I know. I have lived here for over 20 years and never saw or heard of any gay bars in VA. Not that there couldn't be a covert gay-only establishment that required a secret handshake or worse to get in to. But why? Gays have Dupont Circle which makes it easy hunting to find others of the same ilk, so it would be counterproductive to venture elsewhere.

Open your eyes "not gay but..."There's a lot of of LGBTQ+ folk living outside of DC. While you are noticing your fabulous LGBTQ+ neighbors go check out Freddies Beach Bar in Arlington - Drag Bingo is a blast!

Is there some specific gay night at Kilroy's I was actually in Kilroy's last week on Friday. The place wasn't very crowded, and as far as I could tell the clientele were heterosexuals. It seemed to be a mix of older and younger people, but they did not appear gay at all in dress, appearance, or demeanor.

I've never seen any gay bars in Fairfax County. I've been in Kilroys a few times and the clientele didn't look any different from any other similar establishment in northern Va. Definitely would not call it a gay hangout.

There are certainly some gays in VA. There are pockets of them in the high rises in Crystal City which is not surprising since they prefer more urban areas over rural or suburban. The larger portion of gays live in DC or even Maryland. I used to know a one who got so angry at the state after VA passed the anti-gay law he moved to DC. Although he didn't talk about it and was in the closet, everyone knew he was gay and the likely reason for his sudden move.
