So many people got hurt at the old mall, due to gang fights and someone was shot dead in the parking lot in the middle of the night several years ago.
It became a roach motel, was falling apart and nobody wanted to shop there anymore.
The make - over now called "Springfield Towne Center", is nice.

Wake up, seriously. Manassas and Springfield Mall were owned, until recently, by the same company, Vornado. Manassas Mall was sold to Pyramid, who's doing a stellar job at fixing that place up. Pretty much, the only place you'll find turquoise in the mall nowadays are the map stands and the entrances (which are all being replaced now). Don't believe me? https://www.facebook.com/ManassasMall (scroll through everything to see the progress and stuff, or just visit http://www.manassasmall.com/ if you despise Facebook for a weird reason).
It's not really the management's fault that it went down/hasn't been demolished. Blame it on the area demographics, even though it isn't that bad. I'm pretty sure this could spark some revitalization/higher-end shops later on.

The stabbing was essentially road rage, and the guy who was stabbed seemed to be the agressor in leaving his vehicle and approaching the stabber. The faggotry is kind of creepy, but not the same level of danger as carjacking thugs.
It's kind of funny they put people's occupations on the report, like banker, printer, dishwasher, etc. It doesn't seem relevant to the charge. I wonder if the people volunteered that information or if the police investigated each one to find out their occupations. If they volunteered it, I wonder why none of them invoked their right to remain silent--it is a felony charge after all?
