As I indicated earlier, apply to sub teach.
While you are waiting to get approved, obtain CDL manual at DMV.
Study CDL manual and acquire CDL learner's permit.
After you have been accepted as a sub, apply to be in bus driver training program.
Obtain CDL in bus driver training program. Training is PAID. That's right.
You get paid to get the CDL rather than pay a company for the training.
Upon obtaining CDL, drive for FCPS while looking around for something else.
I know drivers who would drive in the morning, sub during the day and drive in the afternoon. There are also evening classes at Falls Church High and Pimmit Alternative in which one can sub.
Dennis Houlihan, former FCPS assistant principal, used to drive in the morning and sub as an administrator before returning to work.
He was a great bus driver and administrator.
