Fairfax Water price increase

Why fairfax water wants to increase the price water on July 1st 2015 when they agreed to change the rates only in 2016 for the City of Falls Church and January 2017 for the city of Fairfax ?

Anyone going to the hearing on May 21st ?

Hearing or not, we are ALL at the mercy of Fairfax Water unless you are on a well.

FFX Water needs to figure out how to pay for the FC Water purchase and they are just now finding out there is more to the big picture.

Falls Church residents are laughing all the way to the bank. They are now paying less for their water, they got a $40 million cash windfall, and got close to 40 acres of prime real estate worth millions.

How did Falls Church make out successfully, where as Fairfax City did the opposite -- gave away 800 acres of land, paid the County to do it, and is excited about their water rates being "equalized" July.

Just stupid I guess. This is sad.

And Fairfax CITY residents are CRYING all the way to the bank... their rates are frozen at a higher rate than the county, they PAID $30M to FFX Water to take over the water service AND sold off 800+ acres of prime land for a measly $30M (it was worth way more than that) we needed to hand over to FFX Water.

Somehow Falls Church made out like a bandit while Fairfax City and Vienna got the short end of the stick. I'm sure the residents of Falls Church must be pleased with their results, but it stinks for the rest of us.

WATMA , Maryland - Potomach - supplies %98 of fairfax's water

the "water authority" is a small pipe to a few in Fairfax City maybe - or maybe people checking the water quality at the other end of the pipe a second time (not a bad idea with f'ing foreigners in MD working the water plant)

"fx co water authority" has infact been sued previously for trying to collect bills on water they did not facilitate the delivery or quality of
