I'm moving to the area and trying to decide where to live. Will be working downtown around 20th and K.
Wondering what the average commute times by car are from areas near the Vienna Metro station, EFC Metro station, and the Cameron Station development.

45+ minutes by car
About 35 minutes by metro, if no delay
From Vienna you can take Route 50 or 29 to DC
You cant go via 66 past 495 because of HOV2

During rush hour it'll probably be 45 min. to an hour commute from the EFC area, sometimes longer. Non rush hour without HOV restrictions, you could do it 15-20 minutes. Add another 15-20 minutes for Vienna.

Thank you for giving me another reason to be thankful I do not work downtown.
I might sit in the car for 17 minutes, IF I hit one red light wrong, on my commute :-)

There is a Metro Station just down the street from the Cameron Station development. Metro might be best. However, if you learn your way around Alexandria, commuting from from Cameron station to DC would be about 35 minutes if you use 12th street or 7th and avoid 14th or trying to take Key or Roosevelt.
