Fairfax Water & Cost of Living

In 1996 (the first year I kept track of my utility bills) I paid a whopping $151 for a full year of water and sewer service. As recently as 2003 I paid $251 for a full year with water usage = 53K gallons. Then the real increases started. In 2009 it was $378 for 57K gallons. 2011 = $507 for 63K gallons and in 2014 it was $659 for 64K gallons.

Just another largely hidden tax increase. Yes, I know about inflation - $151 in 1996 is roughly $228 in 2014 dollars. It is my opinion that these rate increases are exorbitant.

Please begin the abuse. I prefer to start with a good round of "you can't get first class service without paying for it," followed up with "you shouldn't have moved here if you can't afford it," a rude "you should have planned for these rates increases it's a part of home ownership," and a creative "move" or perhaps even a "conservetard" or "taxincreasephobetard."

Quit complaining. That is a literal drop in the bucket compared to what you would pay in California, Texas, Virginia Beach, etc. I noticed my rates have gone up but this is a very minor cost in the big scheme of things.

Who keeps their water bills for 18 years anyway? I pay those and pitch them.

most fairfax water comes from the patomac river - treated an analysed by MD taxpayers - installed by MD workers here in fx co

only small areas in fx co actually have any water from fx co - very limited

-----------------------------
there are lawsuits about Fairfax Water being a bogus "company" created by fx co gov political families to add significan taxes onto potomac water's charges

(on the other hand - MD decided to whilly nilly become a haven for immigrants instead of hiring their own kin - so fuck those bastards - they have a good ammount of casinos and traitors in them)

Use less water. Stupid urbanites waste millions of gallons of water.
Lose weight and shower faster.
When brushing teeth turn off water until rinse.
Fuck plants and grass.
Quit pissing and shiting so much. The medical problem comes from eating and drinking obsessively.

In conclusion stop being a pig and use less natural resources.

I lived in NOVA 41 years in apts. In 2012 after moving to Frednecksburg I went out for the day and left the back water hose running 8 hours, That months bill was 80 dollars, Then I went to Va Beach for 5 days, as I left I flushed the downstairs toilet. 5 days later I came home and the toilet was running. That months bill was 220 dollars. The next month I filled a bucket and left the side hose running. I discovered it 4 days later. That months bill was 308 dollars. I use about 3300 gallons a month or 40 thousand gallons a year.

Normally here the water and sewer bill runs 28-38 dollars depending if its summer and Im watering my small garden or doing a lot of clothes washing.
The avg bill is about 34 dollars, thats 336 to 400 a year in water and sewer bills. I use about 3300 gallons a month or 40 thousand gallons a year. Property tax is 141 dollars a month 4 BR 2 1/2 bath house 1/4 acre 2 car 24X24 garage fenced yard deck and fireplace and Jucuzzi in master bath. PMI 996 a month that includes the property tax.

Come on down to Frednecksburg, what you save on your water bill you can spend on the I95 toll lanes.

Not to mention that their billing and payment system is about the same age as their pipes.
