Is it even worth it for FCPS to even try to keep the school year going at this point?

Given how FCPS has closed so many times this year and closes at the first hint of any weather that's not 70 and sunny is it worth even keeping the schools open? I mean, since we're such a broke-ass county why not close the schools to save some money and sell the properties to make a little scratch and pay off some of that bond debt they keep raising with every election.

Seriously. You can learn everything they teach you in a year! Just skip high school take a test like the GED and move on to community college where you have to retake the same courses anyway. Everyone in the philippines graduates high school at 16 because they dont pro long school like they do here. It's annoying how long high school is. Don't they realize life is so short? your 20's are gone in a flash.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. The kids are off for almost 2 weeks at Christmas, and they just pick up where they left off. No big deal.

Pick up where they left off? They haven't even picked up yet. Off today, off last Thursday, off four out of five days the week before and I lost count of anything before that.

1/12 - 2 hrs
1/14 - closed
1/27 - closed
2/17 - closed
2/18 - closed
2/20 - closed
2/23 - 2 hrs
2/26 - closed
3/2 - closed

Not sure if I am missing a late opening or two?

You might want to add in the 10 days they were off for Xmas too. So since they got out for Xmas break they have barely been in class. No wonder they're dumb as a box of rocks.

And of course add in the holidays (MLK and Presidents) plus the teacher "workshop" days and it seems they have had off more days Monday through Friday than they've been in school.

I'm okay with all the missed classes. We're gonna need new young pornstars & hookers after all! And somebody has to bus tables at Olive Garden when I go for my unlimited breadsticks. I mean shit, do they think that people with high school diplomas are gonna do that kind of work?
