D.C. police are investigating a series of attacks involving juveniles in the Columbia Heights neighborhood, one involving a woman who authorities said was assaulted last month by 10 youngsters.
Four juveniles have been arrested in connection with that assault; one of them was also charged in a robbery that occurred the next day.
Police said the first attack involving 10 youths occurred about 6:50 p.m. on Jan. 22 in the 3200 block of Hiatt Place NW, near the Columbia Heights Metro station. A woman was assaulted in that incident.
The next day, Jan. 23, police said a boy was robbed at 14th and Irving streets Northwest. That occurred about 6:20 p.m.
Police said that on Jan. 30, officers arrested a male juvenile and charged him with assault in connection with the Jan. 22 attack. On Monday , police said they arrested three female juveniles in connection with the Jan. 22 incident.
On Wednesday, police said that the boy arrested Jan. 30 in the assault on the woman was also charged with robbery in connection with the Jan. 23 incident. All of the suspects were charged as juveniles and their names were not released.
