Two bright flashes and noises near Bailey's Crossroads on Sun Jan4th ~4:00am

Reports of two very bright flashes lighting up the night sky, and noises (some "boomy", some metallic scraping). Anyone here see or hear anything?

Where's that "Aliens!" guy from the History Channel? I bet he could explain this.

There are a lot of people who freak every time their small and declining mental powers leave them without an explanation for something that is invariably pedestrian and ordinary.

Yep, that's the norm.

So far I haven't heard anyone freak out about this though.

Probably just a blue ball of plasma from power lines arching due to branches shorting across the lines or some other power line related fault.

You will see the light before you will hear the buzzing or arching unless the problem is on top of you.

After arching for a bit usually the line circuit breakers blow and sound like a shotgun blast then everything quiets down.

Happens all the time in wind and ice storms, nothing unusual about it.

^ This.

Or the Pentagon testing a small air-burst nuclear pulse weapon.

Or aliens.

One of those.

There is a local contractor that kills off his illegal laborers at the end off the job to avoid paying them. He probably used hand grenades as his weapon this time.
