Long story short for 6A: it might take well into conference schedule to see how it works out. Pre-season area favorites like W.T. Woodson, Westfield, Lake Braddock, South Lakes, Battlefield, Herndon have already absorbed early season losses.

Is there any point in talking about any conference other than the WCAC? WCAC girls could beat 6A boys. Look at the rankings in Washington Post every year.

I was talking to a prominent 5A coach and we agreed that private schools are taking some local talent. That is why it is so hard to beat some of the Richmond and VA Beach schools.

Conference 5 will send:
Westfield 20-1
Robinson 12-10
Herndon 13-8
Chantilly 11-11

Conference 6, 7 and 8???
